Amit Wadhwa is the Chief Executive Officer – South Asia at Dentsu Creative, where he oversees the group’s entire creative and digital portfolio across the region.
With over 22 years of experience as a passionate brand builder, Amit has a proven track record in business transformation, creative strategy, and integrated marketing. His leadership is marked by a deep expertise in Business Management & Growth, Data & Digital Integration, and Advertising Execution.
In his very first year leading Dentsu Creative India, Amit steered the agency to a win as ‘Agency of the Year’ at Cannes Lions 2022, the first Indian agency ever to achieve this global honour. This landmark moment cemented DC India’s reputation on the world stage.
Previously, Amit worked with top agencies like Lowe, JWT, Mudra, and Leo Burnett before joining dentsu in 2011. He was instrumental in scaling Dentsu Impact into one of the fastest-growing agencies in the network.
His portfolio includes iconic brand work for Maruti Suzuki, IKEA, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Slice, Bacardi, General Motors, Kohler, Yamaha, Subway, Tata Beverages, and more.
Notable campaigns under his leadership include the Pepsi IPL debut, Mountain Dew’s repositioning, IKEA’s launch in India, and the transformation of Maruti Suzuki through the Arena retail identity.
Outside of work, Amit is an action-driven personality with a love for football and murder mystery novels, traits that reflect his energetic leadership and strategic mindset.
