Ameena Kara Callender is an award-winning costume designer and stylist, represented by LUX and CAA, working across London and Los Angeles. With a background in fine art, craft, and theatre, she brings a strong narrative approach to costume design, creating character-driven looks that enhance storytelling across film, commercials, music videos, and fashion.

Her work is known for its balance of visual impact and authenticity, with a focus on building believable, culturally grounded characters. She has worked across a wide range of formats, including advertising, collaborating with global brands such as Netflix, Apple, John Lewis, Nike, Doritos, and Coinbase.

Ameena has also collaborated with leading creative talent, including Ian Pons Jewell, Nadia Lee Cohen, Rosalía, Katy Perry, and Stormzy, reflecting her strong presence across both commercial and cultural spaces.

Her work has been widely recognised, including a Silver British Arrow (2020) and a Royal Television Society Award, as well as recognition from D&AD, LIA, AICP, and the Cresta Awards.

Known for her collaborative approach and attention to detail, she continues to shape contemporary costume design through projects that combine strong visual identity with thoughtful storytelling.
