Amber Saunders is an award-winning editor known for creating meaningful stories.


After venturing into the world of editing, Saunders has garnered experience both as a freelance editor and at esteemed companies like Rapid Pictures, Whitehouse Post, and ZED/Marsheen. Her expertise extends across various mediums, including commercials, music videos, short films, and documentaries. Collaborating with renowned global brands such as Meta, Sony, Viktor & Rolf, H&M, Nike, Gucci, New Balance, FKA Twigs, BBC, and The Guardian, Saunders has proven her versatility and skill.


Saunders has a strong inclination towards editing movement, influenced by her background in athletics. Her edits are characterized by a nuanced rhythm that adds a dynamic quality to the visuals. While her focus lies in creating impactful visual cuts, she places great importance on evoking emotion. Her projects are narrative-driven, brimming with energy, and possess a distinctly human quality.


Notably, Saunders recently edited a compelling short documentary titled "The Black Cop," which earned recognition by winning the Best British Short Film category at the 2022 BAFTA Awards. This achievement highlights her talent for crafting engaging and thought-provoking storytelling.


In addition to her creative pursuits, Saunders is deeply passionate about supporting emerging Black and POC film editors in navigating the film and advertising industry. She serves as a mentor to several artists, both independently and through her involvement with BAFTA Connect. BAFTA Connect is an initiative by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, aimed at providing enhanced support for future creative leaders in the film, games, and television industries. Saunders actively contributes to this initiative, guiding and empowering aspiring talents in the field.
