Amar Mangrulkar is a seasoned music director and composer from Mumbai, whose journey began in the corporate world—after earning an MBA and starting his career at Ogilvy & Mather, he discovered his true calling during a studio visit at age 30 and took the bold leap to pursue music full-time.


Over two decades, Amar has become renowned for crafting ad scores bursting with quirk, humor, and emotional resonance. His iconic campaigns include: MP Tourism – “MP Ajab Hai, Sabse Gajab Hai (Shadow)”, Nescafé – “RJ Rishi”, Cornetto Chokissimo – “Will You Be My Cornetto?”, Surf Excel – “Daag Acche Hai #DaagKoHaraao”, Imperial Blue – “Men Will Be Men”, Amazon – “This Diwali, Let’s #DeliverTheLove”. Plus numerous memorable jingles for Cadbury’s Gems, Cadbury’s Shubh Aarambh, Virgin Mobile, Zee Cinema, Mentos, KBC, Incredible India, and Rajasthan Tourism.


Amar’s musical versatility extends into feature films and streaming platforms like Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), Lootcase (2020), Haseen Dilruba (2022), Sumo Didi (2024), and digital Series like Netflix’s Taj Mahal 1989 (2020), TVF’s Tripling (2016)


His creative command has earned him multiple Abby Awards and a Filmfare nomination for Best Background Score for Haseen Dilruba (2022).
