Akshay Tyagi is a creative director, brand consultant, costume designer, and celebrity stylist.

Akshay started his professional journey in 2010 as an associate/visual manager at Club Monaco. Later, he also served as a short course lecturer at institutes like FAD Institute of Luxury Fashion and Style, and Instituto Marangoni. Before moving to freelancing, his last stint was Happiness Within, which he continues to helm today as the Co-founder.

Currently, Akshay is the Creative Director at South Asia Bridal Week, a part of the South Asia Fashion week, based in New York, USA.

Akshay is represented by the premier Indian agency, StyleCell. His portfolio spans from designing costumes for Bollywood films such as Sheer Qorma, Bharat Ane Nenu, Bang Bang, and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, to styling celebrities for red carpet appearances and conceptualising experimental editorials. His work is driven by a constant exploration of cross-cultural influences between the East and West, both in design and cultural history.

Among Akshay's career highlights is curating the wardrobe for Indian drag artiste, Rani KoHEnur, for the internationally televised Queen of The Universe.

Recently, Akshay launched First Five Steps, a consultancy focused on fostering both inner and outer sustainability, alongside Happiness Within, a curated product range designed to spread awareness and joy.

His celebrity clientele includes Varun Dhawan, the late Irrfan Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Vaani Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur, Gauri Khan, and Katrina Kaif, among many others. His work has appeared in Vogue India, Vogue Italia, Filmfare, Architectural Digest, Casa Vogue, Travel + Leisure India, and Design Milk. He has collaborated with global luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, and Ermenegildo Zegna, as well as Indian designers including Sabyasachi, Shantanu & Nikhil, Gaurav Gupta, and Siddartha Tytler.
