Aditya Kanthy is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Omnicom Advertising Group India, a division of Omnicom Group that heads BBDO, DDB and TBWA under a unified leadership structure.


Before his current stint, Aditya was in DDB Mudra Group for 20 years, starting his journey there in 2003 as a Strategic Planning Executive. Over the course of the decades, he climbed up to executive posts like Manager of Corporate Strategy, Executive Vice President and National Head of Strategic Planning, Chief Strategy Officer, and Managing Director, before ultimately finding his footing in his current tenure.


Under his leadership DDB Mudra Group was ranked Asia’s #1 effective agency by WARC Rankings 2021, became the first Indian agency to be recognised as APAC Agency of the Year at Spikes Asia 2022, won India’s Agency of the Year at Campaign Brief ‘The Work’ in 2021, 2022 and 2024, titled the Network of the Year at Cannes Lions 2023, and in 2024, the agency was named India’s #1 Agency and the #1 Agency All-Time at the Immortal Awards.


Aditya's work is diverse, in tone and in treatment, spanning from meaningful stories that challenge societal norms to humour and slice of life. He has helmed projects like 'The Phyllis India Project', 'Open Pride', Stayfree 'It's Just a Period', Disney Star 'Words of Pride', and McDonald's 'EatEqual', among many others.


In 2024, Aditya served as the Jury President of Creative Effectiveness and Creative Strategy at Spikes Asia.
