Achint Thakkar | Good Ads Matter, India's Top 1%

Achint Thakkar is a Mumbai-based composer, guitarist, and producer celebrated for his transformative soundscapes across film, television, and advertising. His sonic signature—fusing Indian sensibilities with Western production—came to widespread prominence with his iconic theme for Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, a track that became deeply embedded in modern pop culture and earned him multiple Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Background Music and Original Soundtrack.

Building on that breakthrough, Achint went on to score acclaimed shows like Rocket Boys, Scoop, and the darkly humorous Monica, O My Darling—the latter earning praise for its retro '70s-inspired, eccentric compositions. In 2023, he was honored as Composer on Spotlight at the OTTplay Changemakers Awards for his creatively bold scores.

Beyond scoring for the screen, Achint is also a distinguished recording artist. His debut album Shalimar and the folktronic fusion project Achint & The Khan Brothers showcase his penchant for experimentation and cultural synthesis. These works blend sufi poetry, electronic grooves, and folk traditions, with tracks featured in productions like Taish and Netflix's The Big Day.

Achint’s music philosophy centers on storytelling through sound—treating music as a living layer of narrative and embracing elements of environment, genre, and character to inform his compositions.
