Aalap Desai


CCO at Isobar & Taproot Dentsu, Aalap is a highly decorated creative with over 150 international and national awards to his name. He has won 9 Cannes Lions, 27 Spikes Asia, 9 Adfest wins and many more. He was also named Brand Equity Hottest Young Creatives in 2014 and was selected for the Impact 30 under 30 in 2015.


Desai has worked with some of the most prominent creative agencies in India, including Disney+ Hotstar, Leo Burnett, JWT, DDB Mudra, Ogilvy, and Publicis Ambience. He has helped build brands such as McDonald's, Complan, Huggies, Nerolac, Videocon d2h, and youth-centric brands like Early Salary and MTV India. Desai has also written scripts for several TV shows, including MTV Sound Trippin, MX Player Thinkistaan (Season 1), and Bindaas Chickipedia (Season 2).


At Dentsu Webchutney, Mumbai, Desai co-headed the creative team and was responsible for some of the agency's most notable works, including Code Name: Uri, The 8-bit Journo for Vice, and The World's Most Reported trailer for Thappad. He was recently ranked 41st in the global creative listing of 2022 by ‘The Drum’ and was also a member of the jury at Spikes Asia 2022.
